We arrived into Venice by private water taxi. It was the only way to arrive into Venice island properly.We have definitely ticked off the must do's of Venice.
Eat and drink good coffee, pizza and gelato.
Get lost (more then once) in all the laneways and canals and not care!
Sleep in the afternoon, when all the crazy tourists are out in the heat.
Aside from this we have enjoyed a visit to the Peggy Guggenhem Museum. Walked through the rooms of The Doges Palace. Had a gondola ride. Dined out at 11pm in a peaceful Piazza with a glass of Vino Bianchi in hand, whilst also enjoying playing card with the boys. Stumbled across amazingly beautiful churches and little exhibitions.
